OSCARSBORG/NORGE: The summer company OscarsborgOperaen has a tradition for full scale operas like «Madama Butterfly» last year. This summer’s «Carmina Burana» is partly an exception. OSLO/NORGE: En av sommerens Oslo begivenheter innen kunstmarkedet var åpningen av dronning Sonjas gave fra Kong Harald, hennes egen KunstStall i de gamle stalbygninger bak Slottet i Oslo, som nå er fortryllet om fra oppbevaringsplass for blant gamle biler og mye annet “skrot”, som de fleste familier, kongelige, eller ikke kongelige selvsagt benytter sine ekstra garasjer og opplagringsplasser til. The festival is divided between Easter, Whitsun and summer, and every year 275 000 visitors in tuxedos and white dinner jackets, including 700 journalists, succeed in getting a ticket. Only for this first performance in occasion of the “return” of Tosca on stage of the open air Theater in Torre del Lago Puccini the main character is Hui He, and undoubtedly the curiosity and the waiting to listen to the famous Chinese soprano was great among the audience that gathered on the banks of the lake so dear to the composer. But apart from Ms He’s performance we must also admit that unfortunately it was a problematic performance. Review by Fabio Bardelli.

WITTENBERG/GERMANY: The summer hit in Wittenberg, Germany is the Middle Age market in the beautiful city of Wittenberg, Germany, where the hit is the parade Saturday at 14.00 called Martin Luthers Wedding, where thousand of participants in middle age costumes are making a longa parade through the beautiful city center, inclusive participants, suppose to play the roles as Martin Luther and his wife Katarina von Bora. COPENHAGEN/DENMARK: The exhibit shows more than 70 haute couture creations by the Danish fashion designer Erik Mortensen for the French fashion houses Pierre Balmain and Jean Louis Scherrer from 1982-95. KØBENHAVN/DANMARK: Opera som musikform bliver mere og mere populær – år for år. Det er ofte vanskelig at få billetter til verdens store operateatre, såsom Metropolitan i New York, La Opera i Paris og La Scala i Milano. Hver sommer avholdes det store operafestivaler i mange større byer. Det dukker stadig nye operafestivaler, bl.a. i Oslo og i København. Den første festival i København blev arrangert i 2009.
