OSLO/NORWAY: At Villa Stenersen, the National Museum of Norway, – Architecture and Interior & Design in cooperation with the Jewish Museum in Oslo is presenting an Exposition about the famous Villa Tugendhat, (1928-1930), Brno, Tsjekkia, by Mies van der Rohe
. Until 24
. February 2016.

Ludwig Mies van der Rohes early functionalism was inspiration for the norwegian architect Arne Korsmo, who scetched Villa Stenersen up on demand from the art collector Rolf Stenersen. Many details are in the same style in the two villas, one is the large glass room in the second floor, – the main floor in both of the houses- As Ludwig Mies vand er Rohe, also Arne Korsmo chooses untraditional materials, suchh as Belgium Mabrittglass, Italian Terrazzo, glass building stones, which dominates the front walls  glass facade, and other glass walls both in the interior and in the facade

Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969) sketched the Tugendhat Villa ordered by Greta and Fritz Tugendhat. The jewish married couple and their three children had to leave fro Brno in 1938, because of the occupation by the Nazi during the Hitler regime. During and after the 2. World War Villla Tugendhat had large changes, This exposition tells the history of the house and documental the large restorations that was made 2010-2012
