Dance Proms is a partnership project between the IDTA, ISTD, RAD and the Royal Albert Hall working together in celebration of dance. From Ballet to Tap, our gala performance will feature a diverse variety of acts to celebrate the dedication of the nation’s dance teachers and to showcase their students’ abilities. With the Royal Albert Hall as our setting, this is an amazing opportunity for our young dancers to perform at one of the most iconic venues in the country.

Following an exciting Public Vote to decide on the final act to be selected to perform at the Hall, visit danceproms.co.uk or sign up to the E-book to follow the progress of the acts as they prepare for the Dance Proms and take advice from dance industry mentors including Casting Director, Mark Summers and Principal Dancer at The Royal Ballet, Steven McRae

“Having been through the Strictly ballroom process myself, I not only have absolute respect for teachers, dancers and dance students – I know how exhilarating, rewarding and exciting a performance can be; throw in the Royal Albert Hall and you really do have a once in a lifetime opportunity!” – Chris Hollins

“It’s the love of dance and joy of teaching that makes a project like Dance Proms so amazing. The relationship between a dance teacher and their student is very special and to be able to offer this opportunity to young dancers from all over the country is fantastic.” – Karen Hardy
