It was Repremiere on the good production of Gaetano Donizettis opera L´Elisir d´Amore (1832)at the Opera Bastille in Paris, Saturday October 10th. A production which was premiered in 2007 and where our chiefcritic mr
. Henning Høholt gave it outstanding critic. Now with a partly new cast headed by the outstanding Anna Netrebko in the leading female role, and it was good. She played  and song the role outstanding. Giuseppe Filianoti sung Nemorino, and that was wonderful. His aria “Una Furtiva Lagrima” was a hit, as also the audience appreciated very much. George Petean was a good Belcore. As Il Dottore Dulcamara Paolo Gavanelli, he has a great base voice, but unfortunately he couldn´t find the same tempo as the conductor so it didn´t sound well.

The staging is wonderful by Laurent Pelly, who in addition is responsible for the costumes. The good idea for the decoration, specially the haystack, is Chantal Thomas and Joël Adam is handling the light
. Paolo Arrivabeni is the conductor. When an old opera (1832) in this elegant way is renewed closer to our days it is functioning very well and in this way renewing can be successfully, and still not spoiling the original musical idea from the composer’s side.

This history could have been happening today. After the premiere in 2007, our chief cirtic Henning Høholt was writing the following critic, which I complety can agree in:

It is a great pleasure to view a performance, where every thing is perfect. It only happen a very few times, but it happened by L´Elisir d´amore at Opera Bastille in Paris.

A good stage director is important for a good performance. An extraordinary good stage director can change a end lift up a performance to be a big success, both for the singers and for the opera house. In this case L´Elisir d´amore at Opera Bastille with outstanding soloists and absolutely first class conductor is a brilliant example.

LAURENT PELLY is responsible for both the staging and for the costumes, he is a regisseur of extraordinary good quality. But of course, no doubt about that, need to have first class material to work with, and in deed he had

other treatment modalities. However, under unique andModified sex therapy may serve as an adjunct to the other viagra for sale.

. Dimitry Korchak as Nemorino, Désirée Ranatore as Adina,  Laurent Naouri as Belcore,  Ambrogio Maestri as Dulcamara, and Jeannette Fischer as Gianetta.

Last, but not least the Orchestra and Choir of Opera de Paris leaded by the virtouse and listening conductor, maestro, Evelino Pidò,

The Italian peasant atmosphere at harvest time is taken perfect, even the always present dog is there. The scenography by Chantal Thomas with excellent lightning by Joël Adam is perfect for making this enjoyable performance a great success, which I hope will come back on the repertoire year after year.

The L´Elisir d´amore at Opera Bastille is an example of how a traditional, and good Gaetano Donizetti opera can be make alive, and bringing the amusement idea out to a large audience.
