It’s all happening in August and September
|

We’re about to hit peak season for all things Ibsen with the Ibsen Festival, award cermony for the International Ibsen Award, the Ibsen Conference, the Ibsen Scholarships and the Norwegian Ibsen Award announced. |

|
Skien International Ibsen Conference 2012 takes place at Teater Ibsen in Skien, on the 10th and 11th of September.September 10th:
The winner of the International Ibsen Award, Heiner Goebbels, will deliver a speech during the first day of the conference. Contributions will also be made by Hans-Thies Lehmann, André Wilms and Matthias Mohr.September 11th:
During the 2nd day of the conference;
- the winners of Ibsen Scholarships 2012 will present their winning projects
- Teater Ibsen’s John Gabriel Borkman will be performed on stage
- “Staging Ibsen: National institutions and theatres responsibilities in current times” with debate introductions by Kjersti Horn, Anders Paulin, Eirik Stubø and Anders T. Andersen.
September 12th:
In addition to the conference days, the Mozambique performance “A Fila do General” by Mutumbela Gogo will be performed at Teater Ibsen on the September 12th. The performance is an adaptation of Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler and directed by Henning Mankell, who will also give an introduction to the performance
.
September 14th:
The Dutch performance of A Doll’s House, Poppenhuis, by Maren Elisabeth Børseth will be staged at Teater Ibsen. |
