Remarkabel brilliant horns, and many good details in the forming of the demanding and well kown  repertoire

Richard Wagner, who considered Beethoven to be an example to follow, had symphonic ambitions throughout his life. In his younger years, he wrote many overtures and even two symphonies, and he made outlines of purely instrumental works until the end of his life
. Although his strictly orchestral music often did not progress past the draft stage, fabulous symphonic passages are found in his musical dramas, with a value of their own when played separately

. In addition to the famous ‘Vorspiele’ which summarises the essence of the drama, Tannhäuser – with its long ballet scene added for Paris – and the Ring are particularly full of examples, such as Siegfrieds Rheinfahrt, the funeral march and the closing scene ofGötterdämmerung, as well as Siegfried Idyll, which Wagner composed based on themes from Siegfried and offered as a birthday present to his wife Cosima.
