Janine Jansen and Aleksander Gavryluyk in Oslo
Review by Henning Høholt
OSLO/NORWAY: Sunday evening a wonderful concert, Janine Jansen and Aleksander Gavryluyk in Oslo Operahouse with Poulenc sonate, Brahms no 3, Szymamowsky Trois Poemes op 30 and Prokofiev sonate no 2.
I am sure that this concert will be remembered as one of the highlights in the concert season in Oslo
.
It started brilliant with Poulencs Sonata
. The followed by Brahms no 3, with a lot of feeling and brilliance, and it showed clearly that in this recital work the two artists new each other very well, and were safe in the cooperation.
For me personally the big highlight came with the three poems by Szymanowsky, in these three pieces were every detail so wellformed that it was extraordinary well presented
.
In the end Prokofiev sonata, as a great ending, This sonata has everything, and for me I was only hoping that a choreographer should find out of making a ballet to this lovely music.
As an encore we got a part of Brahms Sonata no 2.
A popular visit, and it is clear to me that the artistic responsible for this kind of concerts at the opera house, Sigmund Jaang, is doing a good jobb.
