From my hotelroom in Geneve I can see the top of the 140 meter hign fountain in the Geneve lake. Kulturkompasset has had technical problem for  some 10 days, where it has not been up, but all our crtics and cooperators in Europe has been busy working haard to make uour readers around in all of the world updated with the latest news from importe nt events in all the fields we are covering with reviews, retportages and news.

Synnøve Nord in Norway  is writing about the coming season at Arena de Verona, Italy, that she shall visit several times this summer, and about books and news in design, art, auctions in Norway and Denmark. Bruno Tredicine, from Napoli is writing about concert with the Deutsche Radio Symfoni Orchestra-Berlin conducted by Rafael Frühbech de Burgos performing Albeniz, Bartok and Rinsky-Korsakov.  Fabio Bardelli in Florenze writing about Tosca in Florenze. Tomas Bagackas in Oslo attending the last La Boheme this season, by Stephan Herheim  on Friday,  followed by the premiere of Tristan and Isolde  on Sunday

The week before I attended Manon in Paris, a wonderful Alcina by Händel in Lausanne, with Olga Peretryatko in the titelrole, Sophie Graf as Morgana and Florin Cezar Ouatu as Ruggiero, conducted by Ottavio Dantone.  Followed by an amazing Julietta by Bohuslav Martinu at Grand Theatre in Geneve last night, it was like a dream. – Well, the history is a dream story.

This afternoon I am on my way to Paris for premiere of The merry widow by Franz Lehar, followed by  Peleas and Melisande by Debussy at Opera Bastille  on Friday. In addition exhibition of fashion and accessories at Tuilleriies, Paris. Tah Norwegian designer Nina Skarra exposing at Hotel Meurice, and Swan Lake at Theatre Comedia with the Ballet from Teatre Moscou.

Next week Valery Gergiev with The Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, and furthermore Parsifal at Theatre des Champs Elysees.

We are sorry for this small break, but shall develop all these stories during some of the following days
