PARIS: After many days with all the old traditional composers on the Paris repertoire, Beethoven, Brahms, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Stravinskij, Chopin, it became like a fresh young wind to attend the Orchestre Lamoureux concert,  Sunday January 20th

Presenting a French program with two impressionist composers, Claude Debussy with “Prelude to a Fauns afternoon” and “La Mer”, and Maurice Ravels great pianoconcerto together with a contemporary, but romantic composer Guillaume Connesson concerto for piano, “The Shining One” both  with a good, brilliant, virtuose and technically strong soloist, David Kadousch
. All conducted by the Orchestras excellent new music director,  Faycal Karoui, who has the right feeling for this kind of repertoire. Karoui is in this season presenting his first season repertoar

As we are getting used to listen to Daniele Gatti conducting Orchestre National de France on concert and at CD, it was refreshing to enjoy Orchestre Lamoureux in the two wellknown and fresh Debussy pieces. Very representative for the orchestra and the conductor. With great pleasure, I enjoyd the different demaniding soloparts in the different groups of the orchestra.
