Music to Shéhérazade by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and for the Firebird by Igor Stravinsky.

In Shéhérazade we enjoyed the ballerina Irma Nioradze in the titelrole together with her brilliant partner Nikolai Tsiskaridze as the Golden Slave. His nearly 25 piruettes was brilliant. The Chief Eunuch was amusing performed by Roman Volodchenkov.

The Firebird was starred by the brilliant Maria Alexandrova in the titelrole, together with a good looking  Artem Yachmennikov as Ivan Tsarevich and with Natalia Balaknitcheva as the Tsarevna Wondrous Beauty.

As a historical document both the performances was very well presented, the scenography and the costumes beautifully and detailed copyed. Both these parts have done a good job. The programmebook is very beautiful in its layout, printing, design and is well prepared with good illustrations and detailed dinformation in English and French.

The Kremlin Ballet Theatre Company is not either the Bolshoi from Moscow or the Marinsky from Saint Petersburg. The Corps des Ballet from the Kremlin Ballet Theatre Company was filling up the stage with well organized activities, and a very few of the dancers was good. Unfortunately the rest of the company didn´t show any high quality.  And many of the mail dancers showed that they are not training hard, they were fat. In these times when the international ballet world is used to enjoy ballet companies of splendid quality, this was not good enough. – But as mentioned as an historically event this is a good innitiative, and as a total with the very few mentioned good soloists the performance became a succes.

The coming days, 5th. 6th and 7th March. The Kremlin Ballet Theatre Company will perform programmes with the following ballets: Armide´s Pavillion, choreography Jurius Smoriginas, music by Nikolai Tcherepnin, with Maria Alexandrova in the titelrole. A Fauns Afternoon, chorography by Vaslav Nijinsky, music Claude Debussy, starring Nikolai Tsiskaridze. And the Firebird as mentioned above
.

An elegantly dressed audience filled up the Theatre des Champs Élysées.
