OBERTO – Great experience in Paris


Last nights Oberto by Verdi at Theatre des Champs Elyesees in Paris was a great experience.

We enjoyed his Opera Oberto in two acts (1839) with Libretto by Antonio Piazza and Temistocle Solera.

Carlo Rizzi  was conducting Orchestre National de France Choir of Radio France  choir Kalman Strausz. 5 soloists of international class highlighted the performance:  Riccardo, Ekaterina Gubanova  beautiful as Cuniza Maria Guleghina was  Leonora, powerful and soft with great high tunes, Michele Pertusi received the longest applause in the titelrole as  Oberto, and he deserved it very much. Sophie Pondjiclis Imelda, – in addition her dress was deliciouse
