For the first time, the new balletchief Kryztof Pastor at the Lithuanian National Ballet, has invited his dancers to make a ballet evening presenting their own choreographic ballet miniatures, and it has become a very interesting performanca, and it is too giving inspiration and a signal for what we can expect for the future. ALBERT HERRING at THE ROYAL DANISH OPERA.
6/01/12 •
Keith Warner has made a detailed, very amusing, satirically and entertaining instruction of a big cast enclosing some of the opera house´s best singers. In the regi, we are, some times discretely, some times very directly, told the nocturnal adventures between the villages prominent notables. And it is visually underlined with great elegance by the actors. Review by Henning Høholt.
EDITH FARNADI playing FRANZ LISZT – CD
6/01/12 •
This is a very interesting CD, dedicated to the Hungarian pianist Edith Farnadi (1921 – 1973), an artist so beloved in her fatherland as well as less known in the rest of Europe. An enfant prodige, she focused her career especially in EasternEurope, and – as an Hungarian – she breathed the musical athmosphere of her own land, so tied to Franz Liszt. Review by Fabio Bardelli.

Den Fjerde Nattevakt – opera – Musikalsk storslagen.
5/25/12 •
Olli Mustonen in Florence
5/19/12 •
Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto nr 3 receives from his interpretation a really new and extremely interesting shape. A work written on the ridge among Mozart’s models and the new style of the last two concertos, the 4th and 5th, is relentlessly probed by the pianist in each note, to give new life to every cantabile and melodic line. Mustonen has a remarkable and really personal technique, and an enviable control of the keyboard. Review by Fabio Bardelli.

Bartered Bride at Staatsoper in Berlin
5/17/12 •
Bartered Bride, the second opera written by Bedrich Smetana Staatsoper in Berlin. Already from the beginning the staging brings us in the right mood: all along the ouverture the curtain, is kept open high just something more than one meter from the floor, so we can see people on stage down from the chest, a young man in blue jeans which moves and interacts with the others, some of which are in folkloristic costumes, some are occupied in everyday activities like cutting a piece of wood, the most dancing and so on, in a nice scene communicating a frenetic mood. The last performances this season are 20th and 23th June 2012 at 19.30. Review by Bruno Tredicine.

DER ROSENKAVALIER in Florence
5/15/12 •
In this prestigious opening production, the director Eike Gramss has immersed the action concocted by librettist von Hofmannstahl into a stage characterized by a mirror game, perhaps a metaphor of the caducity of time and life; the mirrors continuously reflect and project toward the audience the images of the singers, and thus allowing the stage to look almost infinite. Review by Fabio Bardelli, translated by Bruno Tredicine.

KJØNNSKRANGEL I OPERAEN
5/09/12 •
