Rainbow Days in Lithuania from 7. to 30.. May


LGL’s BALTIC PRIDE

LGL announces that the third edition of the Rainbow Days will take place in Lithuania from May 7 to May 30.
The Rainbow Days are a series of events and initiatives revolving around IDAHOT (International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia), celebrated all around the world on May 17.

LGL’s BALTIC PRIDE 2013 PhotoAlbum presentation on Wednesday May 21 at 5 pm at the Contemporary Arts Center , Vilnius (in Lithuanian and English).

The launch, kindly supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy, is one of the key events of the Rainbow Days Festival, Highlighting freedom of expression and respect for LGBT rights in Lithuania.

The presentation will Followed by a free public lecture on Queer Artists’ Challenges with Laima Kreivytė at 6 pm (in Lithuanian only).

Our program for this year is rich with events: public lectures, movie screenings in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda, a quiz on human rights, a Rainbow Bus touring the city of Vilnius on May 17

. In addition to all these initiatives, we will also present the Baltic Pride 2013 photoalbum in this occasion (May 21, Contemporary Art Centre).

The Rainbow Days have gained international visibility and support, and 13 ambassadors will be holding a joint reception on May 16.

13 Ambassadors from Western countries is supporting theLGL RAINBOW DAYS, together with many national and international supporters.
