Sinfonia in Perigord 2011 has started.



CHANCELADE: Immediately upon arriving to the beautful Chancelade monastery, – build between 10th and 12th century, and opened by pope Urban in 1120. – Even before the opening concert starts the audience is coming in the right baroque mode.

The opening concert of 21 edition of Sinfonia in Perigord was in the very best hands of the Dordogne Choire conducted by Michel Lapléine, with Damien Pouvreau on Viola da Gamba and with organist Patrick Hilliard

They presented a demanding program with many vocal wrks by Heinrich Schütz, Johannas Eccard, Giacomo Carissimi, Johann Michael Bach, Johann Christoph Bach, Abel, and Henry Purcel and others. Inclusive beautiful solos for Viola da Gamba and organ.

The 12 female and 6 male singers, supported by the voice of the organist had done a good rehersal work leaded by Michel Lapléine, and the difficult many voiced works was very well performed.
