After their triumph last year, demand was such that Rasta Thomas and AdrienneCanterna his wife.  Thomas desides to come back to France for a three weeks with their “Rock The Ballet” at the Casino de Paris and the French tour in March 2012.

The show combines the art of classical ballet to modern rhythms of hip-hop, acrobatics, capoeira and contemporary dance.

The music is by Michael Jackson, U2, Black Eyed Peas, Prince, Queen, Coldplayand Lenny Kravitz, not to mention the voice of Maria Callas and Jacques Brel to better vibrate quickly gained an audience for their cause.
“Rock The Ballet” meets a phenomenal success worldwide, with all audiences.

THE BAD BOYS OF DANCE

The Company was founded by Rasta Thomas in 2007. It began during the 75thAnniversary of the prestigious American Dance Festival at Jacob’s Pillow in the State of New York
.

These virtuoso dancers, sexy, athletic and full of humor, pushing the boundaries of dance.

RASTA THOMAS: Born in San Francisco, California in 1981, Rasta Thomas has lived in Riyadh, SaudiArabia. He studied at the prestigious Kirov Academy in Washington. As a teenager,Rasta won many competitions, including the Special Jury Prize in 1994 InternationalDance Competition in Paris, the gold medal at the 1996 Junior International Dance Competition in Varna, and the gold medal in the MS US-IBC.
In 1995, he joined the Jeune Ballet de France. In 1997 he became the Hartford Ballet’s principal dancer and then invited to a number of companies including American Ballet Theatre, Victor Ullate Ballet of Spain, National Ballet of China. Joffrey Ballet, Lines Contemporary Ballet,complexions Contemporary Ballet, Lar Lubovitch Dance Company and Pacific Northwest Ballet.
In 2001, Rasta was the first American to join the Kirov Ballet of St. Petersburg and in 2003 he joined the Dance Theatre of Harlem as a principal dancer.
Rasta has been dancing many leading roles, Albrecht in Giselle, Basilio in Don Quixote, Le CorsaireAli and works under the direction of Balachine, Jerome Robbins, Debbie Allen,Ulysses Dove and Jerry Mitchell.
Rasta appears in many television documentaries. He has performed at the Oscars, has starred in the movie One Last Dance, led by Patrick Swayze, dancing in the White House for the President of the United States and has opened for Aretha Franklin in Harlem’s famous Apollo Theatre.
In 2005, Rasta made his Broadway debut in the hit Twyla Tharp’s “Movin ‘Out.” In 2007, he performed as guest artist in “Othello” in the title role with the American BalletTheatre.
Rasta is the founding director of Bad Boys of Dance and in 2007 he founded Rock The Ballet with his wife Adrienne Canterna.
