GOTHENBURG/SWEDEN: This season’s theme of the GöteborgsOperans Danskompani is WONDERLAND – Weird and Wonderful. They aim to create a season with its own wonderland, holding good and evil, realism and surrealism, humor and horror, as well as utopias and dystopias. With Ina Christel Johannessen and Anton Lachky.

Anton Lachky creates A´s Adventures in Wonderland

In A’s Adventures, Slovakian choreographer Anton Lachky plays with inspiration from Alice in Wonderland. He paints a fantastic universe filled with dance among dark forests, icebergs and toilets. The pace is fast and the expression humoristic, poetic and physical. The Göteborg Opera Orchestra plays Mozart, Bach and Haydn under the selection of Max Renne. On stage is also mezzo soprano Lena Haselmann.
