BIARRITZ: BOURNONVILLE IN BIARRITZ

Yet another “Bournonville in Biarritz” was accomplished with great success and large attendance.

This year’s “Bournonville in Biarritz” was based upon Bournonville’s “Wednesday class” and repertoire classes including important soli, pas-de-deux, pas-de-septb and complete ensembles from A Folk tale.

Participants, students, pre-professionals, professionals and observers from many nations have had an active and eventful week.  Thanks to good planning, atmosphere, premises, professional Bournonville teachers, musicians and dancers of the highest level of expertise. We are proud to say this was a success.

Dinna Bjørn are especially pleased to announce that next year’s  Bournonville  – the 4^rd edition – will be built around Bournonville’s “Thursday class”. The repertoire classes will be based upon  “Kermessen in Brügge”. In addition there will lectures, introductions, DVD presentations etc
. etc, dealing with Bournonville’s  work and ballets.

In 2012 again the last week of July,  Monday 24^th – Saturday 29th has been chosen, as a meeting place for “Bournonville in Biarritz”. We will continue to work closely with the Conservatoire Maurice Ravel as our base in the centre of Biarritz.

Bournonville in Biarritz would like to invite all interested participants  to book in advance,  both dancers and observers.
