KAZAN/TATARSTAN: In connection with this years Nureyev Festival which will be arranged in May 2017, in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, we are presenting its primaballerina Kristina Andreeva. That we have enjoyed several times in ballets during the international companies yearly touring in Europe:

Kristina Andreeva graduated from Krasnoyarsk Ballet College in 2010 (People’ Artist of the Russian Federation Larisa Borisovna Sycheva’s class). She did additional studies at the Vaganova Academy of Ballet. In September 2010 she joined the Tatar Musa Jalil State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet.

In 2009-10, she was a Galina Ulanova Foundation grant-holder. She is the winner of the following prizes and awards: Young Talents 2009, a prize awarded by the head of the city of Krasnoyarsk; 3rd prize-winner at the 6th Siberian International Competition of Ballet Schools (Novosibirsk, 2005); lst prize and gold medal at the Galina Ulanova All-Russian Competition of Ballet Dancers (Krasnoyarsk, 2008); prize-winner at the All-Russian Young Talents of Russia Competition (Moscow, 2005 and 2009), 3rd prize and winner of the Most Talented Junior Competitor prize and a special prize at the Arabesque Ekaterina Maximova? 11th Open Competition for Ballet Dancers of Russia (Perm, 2010), 2nd prize-winner (together with Oleg Ivenko) at the International TANZOLIMP Festival (Berlin, February 2011).

Furthermore: Winner of the Tantana Republic of Tatarstan Theatre prize (in the Debut nomination, March, 2011); 2nd prize-winner at the 7th International Serge Lifar Competition of Ballet Dancers (Donetsk, April 20ll); 2nd prize-winner, Jury and Press special prize and the STD (Union of Theatre People) of the Russian Federation prize (together with Oleg Ivenko) at the Arabesque Ekaterina Maximova?

l2th International Competition of Ballet Dancers (Perm, 2012); lst prize at the International Yuri Grigorovich Young Ballet of the World Competition (Sochi, 2012); winner of the special Best Partner prize at the International Yuri Grigorovich Young Ballet of the World Competition (Sochi, 2014).

In 2012 she took part, together with Oleg Ivenko, in the Bolshoi Ballet Culture television channel show. In 2013 she carried off the Soul of Dance prize in the Up and Coming Star nomination; she won the Grand Prix at the Krasnoyarsk Grand Prix of Siberia International Ballet Competition (Krasnoyarsk, 2014).
