Péléas og Mélisande – Strålende musikalitet.

OSLO/NORGE: Slik vi er blitt vant med under Per Boye Hansens periode som operasjef opplever vi gang på gang strålende musikalitet og fremragende sangkrefter på opera scenen i Bjørvika i Oslo. Dette gjelder også ved Norgespremieren på Claude Debussys opera Péléas og Mélisande – Strålende musikalitet, praktfull sang. Glimrende ledet av musikksjef og dirigent Karl-Heinz Steffens. Bruckner and Beethoven in Paris

PARIS/FRANCE: The Easter in Paris is a huge celebration, with people queing every where for religious and religious related events, as for example the Friday mass in front of the Sacre Coeur, at the top of Montmartre. And also in the concert field. Where we had the great pleasure to visit the French National Radio House in Paris for enjoying listening to the French National Orchestra performing Anton Bruckner´s monumental Te Deum, followed by Ludwig van Beethoven Symphonie n° 9, all led by one of the great masters in this field Christoph Eschenbach. Outstanding Les Troyens in Strasbourg

STRASSBOURG/FRANCE: The wonderful Orchestra Philharmonique de Strasbourg created Hector Berlioz monumental opera Les Troyens (in English: The Trojans) with two performances during the Easter at the Palace de Music and Conferences in Strassbourg. It became a large success for the central European music world and for Strasbourg. Visited by Henning Høholt

St. Matthew Passion with Philippe Herreweghe in Paris

PARIS/FRANCE: The St. Matthew Passion by Johann Sebastian Bach led by Philippe Heereweghe at Theatre des Champes Elysées in Paris was an extraordinary good event. The length inclusive break was 3 hours and 45 minutes as a long opera. As the Evangeliste we enjoyed Maximilian Schmitt and as the Christ Florian Boesch.Review by Henning Høholt.

To achieve this goal, the AROP’s members elect each year since 1986, one male and female dancer who especially stood out during the season. Joseph Calleja – World famous tenor in Oslo

OSLO/NORWAY: The world famouse tenor Joseph Calleja filled up the beautiful opera house in Bjørvika in Oslo lat Sunday evening, with a program of famouse opera arias and songs from the famouse tenor repertoire, well known for many of the audience. OSLO/NORGE: 3. april ble årets Musikkteaterpriser delt ut under en storstilt feiring av Norsk Musikkteater på Chat Noir i Oslo. Skuespiller og regissør Bjarte Hjelmeland ledet kvelden an, og etter et glitrende åpningsnummer sammen med kveldens ensemble, ble alle nominerte behørig presentert og vinneren av de forskjellige kategorier avslørt.

Norwegian National Ballet floods Parisian stage of Theatre des Champs-Elysées

PARIS/FRANCE: The Parisian audience still remembers last production of Norwegian National Ballet when they presented a Jiri Kylian program two years ago. That was a unique production as Kylian’s Gods and Dogs was presented in Paris for the first time. With this second production,, Alexander Ekmanns A Swan Lake, the Norwegian company is starting to make a name for itself in a cultural capital such as Paris and confirms its importance on the world’s ballet scene. Eivind Gullberg Jensen – debut – Vienna State Opera

VIENNA/AUSTRIA: The Norwegian conductor Eivind Gullberg Jensen is making his debut at the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), with the opera “Tosca” by Giacomo Puccini, starring two of the biggest opera stars of our time, Jonas Kaufmann and Angela Gheorghiu.
The premiere will take place on 5 May 2017. According to our research, Eivind Gullberg Jensen will be the first Norwegian conductor to perform at the Vienna State Opera in 150 years of existence of this famous theatre. He will be leading the Wiener Philharmoniker, the renowned orchestra that plays the popular New Year’s Concerts in Vienna

MONTE CARLO/MONACO: The Lausanne 2009-production has finally reached Monte Carlo. It has also been seen in Vichy, France, but there are few reasons to export it further. Though with the excellent soloist cast of Monte Carlo it does survive. Review by Torkil Baden.

PARIS/FRANCE: One of the worlds real famouse sculptures Auguste Rodin, who very many of the audience in one ore other way is familiar with is Auguste Rodin, who made some iconic sculptures. To mark the centenary of his death, the Musée Rodin and Réunion des musées nationaux Grand Palais are joining forces to celebrate Auguste Rodin (1840-1917).
